چکیده
Intersections are established dangerous entities of a highway system due to the challenging and unsafe roadway environment they characterized for drivers other road users. In efforts improve safety, an enormous interest has been shown in developing statistical models intersection crash prediction explanation. The selection adequate form model is great importance accurate estimation frequency correct identification contributing factors. Using six-year data, infrastructure geometric design traffic flow data urban intersections, we applied three different functional forms negative binomial (i.e., NB-1, NB-2, NB-P) generalized Poisson (GP) develop safety performance functions (SPF) by severity signalized unsignalized intersections. This paper presents relationships found between explanatory variables expected frequency. It reports comparison total, injury & fatal, property damage only crashes order obtain ones with maximum accuracy. was based on goodness fit measures. fitted showed that several related significantly influence Further, measures revealed NB-P outperformed most levels For GP best performing model. When NB were compared, performed better than traditional NB-1 and, more specifically, NB-2 models. conclusion, our findings suggest potential improvement accuracy SPFs intersections applying

Estimation of Count Data using Bivariate Negative Binomial Regression Models
Abstract Negative binomial regression model (NBR) is a popular approach for modeling overdispersed count data with covariates. Several parameterizations have been performed for NBR, and the two well-known models, negative binomial-1 regression model (NBR-1) and negative binomial-2 regression model (NBR-2), have been applied. Another parameterization of NBR is negative binomial-P regression mode...
متن کاملPerformance of Generalized Poisson Regression Model and Negative Binomial Regression Model in case of Over-dispersion Count Data
This paper represents the comparison between Negative Binomial Regression model and Generalized Poisson Regression model for over-dispersion count data. For this comparison, we used BDHS 2007 data in where the response variable is the total children ever born which is a count data. When the response variable is count, then Poisson Regression Model as a Generalized Linear Model is widely and pop...

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Comparison between Efficiency of Poisson Regression Model and Negative Binomial Regression in the Analysis of Factors Affecting Mortality from Cardiovascular Diseases in Yazd Province in 2017
Introduction: Despite the advances in cardiovascular diseases, death caused by these diseases is still considered as the leading cause of mortality. In this study, some of the effective factors on the deaths caused by cardiovascular diseases were investigated Methods: This cross-sectional analytical study investigated the efficacy of Poisson regression models and negative binomial regres...
